Quality in Endoscopy ERCP & EUS Symposium report
Leaders, alongside young rising stars, gathered together in Budapest to discuss and debate various topics including “Conquering the papilla”, “Diagnostic EUS” and “Pancreatitis” at the Quality in Endoscopy ERCP & EUS symposium. Topics were explored using a variety of means including interactive talks, case presentations and debates.
“The multidisciplinary aspect was again demonstrated with excellent input from ESGAR and EASL. This enriches the programme, giving additional depth to the topics,” said Lars Aabakken, the symposium Co-Chair. “It was an exhausting two days for both faculty and participants alike but well worth the effort– this was the best quality symposium yet.”
The hands-on training session has become a well-established aspect of the Quality in Endoscopy programme. Demand for this session was so great that an extra station was organized to cope with the positive response from participants on Sunday. This session provides a valuable learning environment whereby group numbers are kept small to ensure high contact between tutors and participants.
Last but not least, networking events, including an informal drinks reception and symposium dinner, provided an excellent opportunity for the faculty and participants to mingle, develop contacts and discuss potential future collaboration.
The recorded material from this meeting will be showcased soon. For now,
